The new dancing partners finally met for the first time on Wednesday, Sept. 2, at The Wildlife Learning Centre in Los Angeles after the latest cast was announced. Irwin showed off her special touch with animals by posing with a python, which she also helped Hough handle.
But when it comes to the ballroom, it’s Hough who’s got the skills. If anyone can turn a non-dancer into a serious contender for the coveted Mirrorball Trophy, it’s the five-time champ, who also boasts an Emmy for his choreography on DWTS.

It is true that Derek can turn anyone in to a dancer. Excited to see how Bindi will turn from a “wildlife warrior” (as Derek called her) into a beautiful dancer.
Love this article and the photos! Bindi’s young skin is dewy soft. She is all glamorous and feminine in the pretty pink fringe dancing costume and heels. And she’s holding a snake with the same relaxed animal handling skill we admired in her late father, Steve! Derek, on the other hand, does not seem to find the same degree of relaxation in snake handling!!!
But these two are masters at working things out, finding a way to get the job done, whatever it takes!! And that is just what we can expect to see them doing this season on DWTS!!!
I love how relaxed and trusting Bindi is in his arms in the dance pose shot. She is wise to trust Derek in all things related to dance! He’s the best! She needs a strong back, core, arms, shoulders and legs to dance. I would imagine wrestling crocodiles would tone all these areas of her body!
So yeah! She’s good to go! She possesses the tools Derek needs her to have to learn to dance!!! 
We really do not need to discuss the readiness of Derek’s tools! 
Guess their team name could be #TeamBuff ‘R Us!

OK I’m sure I’m just missing something, but if they just met this afternoon, what were those photos from the rehearsal studio parking lot days ago?
Yeah, it doesn’t make any sense. They’ve been rehearsing for some time now, plus Bindi was in NYC today. Maybe because Derek posted the announcement today, the writer automatically assumed they just met today. It puzzled me at first, too!
Entertainment writers aren’t known for their accuracy. They assume and make shit up.
