Grace, unfortunately, the green-eyed monster (jealousy) has an ugly, hateful, forked tongue which seldom speaks the truth! But we can always believe every word that comes out of Derek’s mouth! He is strong and honest, yet kind and generous! We can be so proud of him! I pray everyday he will find the right lady who will honestly love him and be as kind to him as he is to others! I know he will take care of her. I pray she will take good care of him!!!

Cathy, I so agree with you. I too want him to be treated fairly this season. I am excited to see who his partner is for Season 21. I hope it is someone well known and well liked! I can’t wait to see him dancing again. Oh, I can’t stop watching this clip. It shows so many of the cute mannerisms he puts into his dance steps! He looks fabulous with the natural tan he got while he was with the family at the lake!

Likewise, your positive attitude is a wonderful gift that you share not only with Derek, but with all of us. Reminds me of how he talked in MOVE about there being a light inside of each one of us. And he had said that we have to focus on what’s ahead…on a new beginning…and that the past is history. Cathy, YW and I am glad I give positive encouragement to my friends on PDH! A professor at the academy where I attended high school, once told me I had an attitude problem. Perhaps he would change his assessment of me, these many years later, if he read your reply! LOL Just a random thought that ran through my mind!
Thank you for the many lines of feedback you have taken the time to pen to me. It has been so nice to feel your kind, gentle influence having an impact on me (and my attitude). LOL Your friendship has made me a better person. I suppose I must give some credit to Derek, Heidi and Vogue for my journey of personal improvement. As you have said and I believe, things happen for a reason. Derek bringing us together has been a blessing for all of us!
I read Derek’s book again while I was in Ohio. I found so many of his inspirational passages helping me be more positive as I read through the book. I could visualize him setting with pen in hand as he recorded his thoughts for us. I am so thankful he wrote his book! It is yet another beautiful gift he has given to the world!

As I’ve said before, isn’t it wonderful how all the positivity, encouragement, and love that Derek shares with us, we in turn share with one another? The love and kindness that he spreads to us is a true gift, and we are better human beings because of it. His beautiful messages of inspiration and his leading lessons are so powerful, uplifting, and heartfelt, and they have truly changed my life. He leads by example, and his positive energy and light have made a huge difference in my life. I’m thrilled to know that my influence has had a positive impact on you. I value your friendship, and it’s such a blessing that we’re brought together by this beautiful human being who is a true light in our lives. I honestly believe that Derek is an angel here on earth whose mission is to motivate, inspire, and move us so that we can live a happy, fulfilling, and abundant life. I, too, have read his book several times, and I absolutely cherish all the wisdom, insight, and life lessons that he gives us from his own personal experience. I have learned a tremendous amount from him. The sections where he describes the severe bullying, however, are equally as painful, if not even more so, for me to read now as when I read them for the first time. And to see the forgiveness, kindness, compassion, and love in his heart…what a truly extraordinary human being Derek is. Like you, I am extremely grateful for his book. It truly is a beautiful gift he has given to the world.

Cathy, I have had a few busy days. My Ohio family is visiting me this week. We had a family dinner tonight . . . so much fun! When I came up to bed I found your reply. It is wonderful how Derek’s inspiration weaves a silver cord which binds us to a common resolve to improve personally! We strive to be better each day than we were the day before! It is always a treat for me to find greetings from you! You spoil me with your faithfulness in replying to my comments! Thank you. I will be honest . . . I love being spoiled! But I promise not to turn into a brat!

What’s with Emma and the noise maker during the D-Man’s nap time? Last year Mark dropped a cushion on his head when he was sleeping. It was during trio week when his back went out while rehearsing the AT with Bethany and Tony.

It’s looking a lot like Derek’s partner will be Bindi! I really hope so…she’s so sweet, enthusiastic, fearless, mature…and lots of positive adjectives! I’m contemplating going to GMA in NYC on Wednesday to see this whole DWTS announcement live. We’ll see.
As for the “prank”…others seem to delight in waking Derek up from his nap/sleep. Plus they record it and laugh about it. I enjoy a good joke and a good laugh, but not at someone else’s expense. To me that’s not fun. With Derek’s extremely demanding schedule, he needs to be able to rest and relax in peace.

Yes, Ohio holds some wonderful memories for me! Derek and MOVE are in a class of their own! And this summer’s show was phenomenal! I have 7/21/15 forever in my memory bank! And Derek’s shirt is in it’s forever home!
