Pure Derek Hough

Looking fabulous as always.  As for the tattoo, I’d be willing to bet that it’s all for the movie.  :-) Looks interesting from here, anyway. Thanks to the multiple people who emailed it to me and tweeted it to me. You know who you are.

Lots of random little tid bits of Derek info came out over the past week and I’ve been saving it up for one post. Mainly because I’ve been very busy. Heh. Understatement.

First, and most important (to me) is that Derek is getting another shot at being Kelly’s cohost on February 6th. Yay!!  From Zap2It’s TV by the Numbers:

February 6, 2012 – “Dancing with the Stars” professional dancer and Season 13 finalist DEREK HOUGH kicks off the week as Kelly’s guest co-host for the day. The guests are actress Debra Messing, and, from “The Middle,” young actor Atticus Shaffer.

We don’t know for sure that Derek will be on the next season of DWTS, but we will find out for sure the Week of February 28th when the cast is announced, provided he doesn’t tell us first.

Derek has gotten involved in a very worthy cause – the Dizzy Feet Foundation

I am officially a DizzyFeet Foundation Board Member. Look forward working with a great group of people to help the arts .

I know lots of Derek’s fans can’t see instagram photos unless Derek also tweets them…or someone else tweets them and you happen to follow them. Of course, if you have a iPhone, iPad or other iThingies, you can see instagram and it’s no big deal – this post is for those of you who aren’t seeing Derek’s pictures that stay on instagram and don’t get tweeted. Of course, I’ll include all of them – they’re too great not to include.

I think this is my favorite of the pictures Derek took, not including those he’s in.

If this doesn’t make your ovaries explode, I don’t know what will.

It’s hard for me to keep up with all the stuff flying around.

You want to know why there are suddenly ugly black banners across this site?? Today is internet blackout day to protest SOPA and PIPA – read more about this bad legislation on PureDWTS and across the internet.

If you agree this is potentially harmful legislation – write your congress person.  If you’re international, some of the links on PureDWTS lead to a site where you can contact the State Department. This will eventually affect you as well, since it will be setting a precedent.

I’m all for protecting someone’s copyrights – but not at the expense of a free and open internet. Not to mention they already have legislation to do these things.

So, for those of you who don’t have instagram, I’ll try to post when he forgets to tweet – you can get instagram if you have an iPhone or iPad. It’s nice to have all his pics in one place anyway. Some of Dancing with the Stars’ most beloved cast members reunited for a fabulous photo shoot promoting the Game Show Network’s acquisition of the hit ABC show’s reruns, where they shared their excitement for re-living their past seasons all over again on GSN — and what they took away from being on the show.

Don’t get too excited, it’s only about 15 seconds longer. But it is 15 seconds of additional hotness. FYI – DWTS Season 4 starts on GSN January 21. No Derek, but me and Courtney will do the occasional Cheesecake. Actually, there is a bit of Derek in rumba week – he shows up in Julianne and Apolo’s rehearsal.

So yummy.  Thank you, GSN.
