I think the other woman is a friend of Cheryl’s and I don’t know her name. @HeidiHo Maybe he tweeted pics of her because he’s actually serious about her and trying to ward off the recent Shawnough hype? JMO
Derek has never been one to respond to hype or rumors. There have been rabid shippers for most of his partners – shawn is hardly the first. And He’s never been one to advertise relationships. Ever. Does that mean he’s serious? Who knows? But unlike the Shawnough crew, I’m not one to go wild with speculation.
Thank you Heidi for solid reasoning. It’s Derek’s personal life, if it’s serious I’m sure in time we will know the answer. He’s young, embarking on new endeavors and appears to enjoy Sarah’s company. It’s his personal life and if and when he feels like sharing more I’m sure he will. Until then I look forward to the COBU release and his new projects as I will miss his talent on DWTS. Thank you Heidi for keeping us so up to date with all that is going on in Derek’s life. I can’t even imagine how much work it is for you. I do appreciate it.
I thought it was odd that Cheryl didn’t mention or tweet a pic I’d Derek or Mark. She kept saying she was there with her 2 good friends. Derek and Mark aren’t friends anymore or was that Meryl showing up ? Derek mentioned in his London trip tweets or press he and Mark would see Devence (sp?) at NYE. Some assumed in London but he never said where. So he knew they had a Vegas meet planned. I too was surprised about the Sarah pics. Someone else caught the Hough family at Denny’s and tweeted it or we wouldn’t have know she went home for the holidays with him only on the Aspen trip. For dating a half year it must be more than casual to bring her home to the family. I’ve noticed greater efforts on D’s part to be more open and sharing of himself with fans. The website is great and the ask Derek videos are nice. Can tell he shot them all in one day or he REALLY loves that outfit! Hope 2013 is a great year for him professionally and now that he has taken the scary step away from the security of the DWTS pay check. I hope he is rewarded. He is reminding himself not to over think and worry in his New Years updates and I have a good feeling when he gets the word out he is available more now, the offers will come in. I notice he is not taking the filler work as much as others so assume he has things in works. Praying those things don’t include delays. Glad he is taking the courage to move on. Proud of him and looking for new experiences to support him in.
Hi Kate — the pic of the Hough family Christmas dinner at Denney’s that Sarah was in was taken by & posted by Derek’s sister. I’m guessing Derek knew about it…:)
Most of these pics were taken from the red carpet walking into the club- it is done by the club and promoters since more likely than not Derek, Cheryl, Kelly, etc were paid some type of money to party there that night. None of the pictures would show their friends or girlfriends- i saw a tweet from someone who saw Mark in Vegas and said he was with a blonde- who i would have to assume is BC since she was with him in Aspen and Cabo. (she tweeted she was in cabo and her instagram has a pic as well). Plus Tiffany Dunn posted a tweet that she so kindly deleted later saying that Mark was texting her even though he was with “her”. LOL. As for sarah i would almost guarantee she was there- Giovani (his bud from London) was there and unless Derek tweeted his pic we would have no idea he was there either (unless you follow him on twitter and he said that he was coming stateside to hang with derek). The fact Derek even posted a pic of Sarah the other week was surprising and not something we should get used too but if i was a betting person i would 100% say she was there.
I’m pretty sure I said all this already…or maybe I dreamed it.

She probly wasn’t there cuz this I think this event was for business, Mark wasn’t with BC and Kelly wasn’t with Heath or Val(???)
Val is in Costa Rica with family; Kelly was with her family. Just wondering since Sarah was with him in Utah, thought she would come to Vegas to spend first New Year’s together. Oh well. Has anyone ever seen her model pics? She is very pretty but seems like a mystery.
Derek’s friend Giovanni was there from London (went to LA on business, I think), so I think Sarah was probably there unless she had other plans. That Derek actually tweeted a couple pics of Sarah last week was shocking and out of the ordinary for him – so I wouldn’t be at all surprised to find out she was there and just not photographed.
