Who does Maks think he is?
He seem to forget his previous partners: Laila, Mel B, Erin, Brandi and Kirstie were all frontrunners.
He says he won’t stand for the disrespectful remarks, but then goes on to trash Derek. And isn’t saying to Len “Maybe it’s time you get out” disrespective too? It is in my book…

I just saw the GMA interview-thanks for the link- and my impression of Maks is that he is an overgrown, self-centered, whiny, baby, who is terribly jealous of the most talented dancer/choreographer of our day (Derek) and just has to bellyache about it. His comments are truly insipid and forgetable, as is he. The more he whines, the more I laugh at him because he will NEVER win the MBT because he just isn’t good enough.
Just the change the subject Gitte: Exactly what dance do both teams have next week? Anyone know? Not the cha, cha, cha again. Maks should be banned from tv! Big Baby!

Yes, now Ricki and Derek handicapped once again….Hope can’t even keep time to music with her partner. Now D and R get stuck with her and the guy(Maks) who goes to the team practice last night and then on GMA this AM and attacks Derek. While JR gets the fabulous and much supported Tristan and Nancy with her whole network supporting her. Guess we know who will lose the Team competition. And the judges will have no choice but to give them low scores when Hope screws up the timing and syncronicity. So wrong that Maks can be such an ass and always benefit and the nicest guy, Derek, just always has to try to find a way to deal with all the jealousy, false statements and take the hit for it.
My mother had a saying that seems to sum up Max’s dilemma: If you can’t take the heat, get out of the kitchen.
I haven’t seen the GMA segment, but I’m really worried now.

What started the subject of Derek in the first place? Derek never said a negative thing about the other dancers on the show, why because he didn’t agree with what Maks did. Now I really hope they are elminated next week!

He said that Derek had used the show to further his personal career. Well, DUH? Why does one go into show freaking business if not to further one’s career? Maks need to take a double strength chill pill and relax.
Lisa, my only problem with that is I am one of those people who love music and dance and I want to see gorgeous dancing etc. as many times as possible on TV. I really missed Julianne when she left and I can’t even imagine not seeing Derek dance any more except maybe an occasional movie every couple of years or longer. And seeing Julianne in the movies she has been in, not the same as what she could do on DWTS. It will be the same with Derek. It is the “live” aspect that makes it so special, the interaction of the partners and audiences, etc. She, Derek, Karina and several of the other pros, what they accomplish on DWTS and present quality wise, unmatched anywhere, except in competition, which many of us don’t have the time to travel to. I, too, want Derek to do other things but hoped that he would stick with the show for awhile until he has such a big accomplishment that he really couldn’t be on it. I think his teaching, and the rewards and audience appreciation he gets really motivates him to do great things.
Mimi, I completely agree. I hope he will not allow this silly controvery and sour grapes attitude on the part of fanMax and his fans deter him from following his heart. He is the biggest drawing card for this show, and most of the other dancers acknowledge the fact and deal with whatever jealousies they may have about it privately. They have the good sense to know that someone like Derek who draws viewers is good for them too. It is the best showcase for his talents, and I also hope that he can work DWTS into his future plans. Maybe he can’t be on as much, but I know that his fans and the show would benefit from his participation. That said, this will be old news in a couple of weeks, and I want the producers to realize that they need to attract more “A” list celebs to be on the show and strengthen it. If they can dial back some of the “personal” comments and keep the judges to comments on the dance, more celebs will want to participate. That’s the way it used to be, and we had GREAT contestants. Even great shows need to monitor and adjust and get back to the formula that made them great to begin with, and I think this more than applies to DWTS. We watched for the dance, not the drama.
So now this AM we have Maks on GMA whining and attacking Derek personally, along with Maks Fans plus some of Marks fans campaigning against, filling all the boards, blogs and anywhere else they can bash him with negative and just plan untrue stuff aboout Derek. What is the show and ABC gonna do about this….they had better do something. This guy is nothing but a sore loser attacking everyone for doing their job. I don’t recall Derek ever demanding a particular partner. Of course all the news shows now giving all this air time to people saying negative stuff about Derek and making it sound like all the other dancers support Maks. I hope all of you are contacting everyone who can be reached out to about this attack on the guy on the show with the most class and talent. And I hope the judges give Maks and his hopeless partner 1′s next week and get their toxic personalities off this show. Of course by then I’m sure there will be plenty of damage done and next week being Halloween….voting will be spotty and dicey enough that Ricki and Derek could be in real trouble. Derek and his sister were the 2 best things to happen to this show. If Derek leaves the show instead of Maks next season, after watching every single episode, I’m done.
I caught most of the GMA segment this morning on Maks. I was so ready to throw a shoe at the TV. He really attacked Derek this morning for speaking his mind. I don’t get all the attacks Derek is getting for this. He was so diplomatic about the whole thing when he was asked the question. All I am hoping is that Hope and Maks get eliminated next week. Maks is ruining the show and he is so getting rewarded for it to right now with all the publicity. This has got to the worse rant yet from him and acting childish. Derek and Julianne are the best part of the show with so much talent. I am glad Julianne moved on. Derek’s got a bright a future and so talented. He really does not need this crap and hopefully will move on soon from the show. Once he does, I might just leave the show to especially if Maks is on.
Derek handled the question in a very professional manner. Those that disagree do have their own agenda. I feel sure this is the last year that Derek will be a part of this show. DWTS’s will be the looser!! Derek is to good to have to put up with all this bull! GO DEREK!!!
