The Packages – Poor Jen. My heart went out to her.
Wow, guys. Have a heart. She’s cried twice during the show-once for Patrick, and now because her body won’t do what she wants it to, and she’s pretty young at heart. Yes, there has been an emphasis on her health, but that’s what producers are showing after hours of rehearsal. And of course it would play a major role in rehearsal itself; she lives with chronic pain, the dancing obviously hurts, and if she is pushed too far she could hurt herself. Derek is obviously concerned, but he can handle it. She’s a good dancer, she has talent-and she’s very willing to learn and seems to be very fond of him. All things that make a good dance partner.
I also thought Derek handled her breakdown very well-my Mom is over 50 with less than 10% of Jen’s health issues and she gets so frustrated with her body and she’s just living everyday life. It’s a hard moment when you want to do something, and you can’t do it because you’re old and in pain-especially when what you’re doing is a risk and something you’re being pressured to do very well with a high amount of expectations from say, millions of people that watch you.
A hug was all she needed, really. And she was wonderful on the dance floor. Derek is obviously proud of her judging by his comments on Twitter. And if you think she’s always complaining, watching her interviews is enough to let you know she isn’t-she brushes off most questions geared towards her health and talks about how much fun she’s having and how awesome Derek is-I suppose that is somehow another version of ‘whining’.
I totally agree with Karol. She is always complaining and she is so needy. Derek had to deal with her.
He had to work hard.
Second, did anyone notice? Their tango looks like Choreography of Cheryl Cole’s Parachute…
The level of insensitivity toward Derek’s partner on THIS website is rather shocking to me. You wanna bash Jennifer TAKE IT ELSEWHERE. My website, I don’t have to listen to it if I don’t want to. Period. STFU or I’ll just delete you from here on out.
I think the only reason you guys complain is because you are desperate for Derek to win again and resent anything that may get in the way of that.
I just want to clarify something: I am 100% behind Derek/Jennifer to win this thing…I could hardly breathe tonight watching those two waiting to be told if safe or not, and I’m estatic they’re staying. With that said, the ONLY reason I even mentioned the fact of Jenn complaining, crying, etc. is because I was concerned about how OTHER people are taking it; personally, I understand. Yes, it’s true we all care a great deal about Derek and see how he’s working his butt off to accomodate Jenn plus he’s shown us his frustration with her too so perhaps that’s where the comments on this website are coming from..I don’t think anyone is really bashing Jennifer. I agree it’s awful that the producers are using what may be just a tiny bit of all the footage recorded between D/J to paint a pic of a whining, self-pitying Jennifer,and they will continue to do it which is why I kinda wish Jenn would go outside away from the cameras to cry…I don’t like to see her pain being exploited for good ratings.
This is not a new thing, Karol. Every partner Derek has had has cried, gotten angry, yelled, cried again – they give him those partners for a REASON. He knows what to do, he’s infinitely patient (4 sisters) and they end up adoring him for what he does. Hell, I think they even get jealous when they see him with other partners. I think Brooke was a bit jealous of Nicole last season.
Ignore other websites instead of propagating their bullshit – they have an agenda of their own and it’s to do damage to Derek in any way they can because they are petty jealous things. People have been bashing him and his partners since Shannon. It won’t change. The only thing that may change is Derek’s presence on this show so I recommend that everyone RELAX, ENJOY and VOTE.
Wow…it’s pretty sad what I’m reading in these comments about Jennifer. I admit, I had a complaint about her last week. But I don’t think it’s fair to complain about her suffering from her physical problems because she truly has some major health problems. Also, don’t forget she got into a serious car accident in the 1980s that contributed to her spine/neck problem and she has always had chronic pain from that accident. Blame the producers. We see a few minutes from hours of rehearsal footage and they want to go this angle with her. I don’t know why, though. But anyways, that’s just who she is and are we going to stop liking her because the producers show one part of her personality to create “drama”???
It is way past time for the producers to give Jennifer a good “package”. I am giving this couple ALL my votes. Jennifer has got to quit complaing, crying and talking about her age. It is not only online people that are tired of it. I have friends saying the same thing. I like Derek soooo much I look over it. Derek is the BEST!!! I only wish good things for him. We will miss him when he leaves this show, but this is hard work!! Thanks for this website!!!Love it!!

you are true. People don´t see how many problems Jennifer had. And she did great job with Derek. Because Derek is amazing teacher. And of cource amazing dancer and choreographer and he can working with Jennifer so well.

Derek is awesome! Has anyone else noticed that every team dance that Derek’s been a part of since it began back in season 7, they’ve won because of Derek’s great choregraphing no doubt. I’ve also noticed that no team dance has been able to match or beat the highest team score dance of 29 points which was done by team paso doble from season 7, which concidentally had Derek.
I agree with Karol, that if Jennifer does lose the competition it will because of her complaining. I’ve seen other message boards of fans who are tired of listening to her whine all the time.
Yeah, totally not worried about message boards who tend to bitch about Derek’s partner no matter who she is.
What makes me sad is that people have so little sympathy for Jennifer’s experience. So little compassion. The woman has 2 screws in her neck, had thyroid cancer less than a year ago and is dancing 6 to 8 hours a day. At 50 years old. That is amazing. I bet most people here half her age couldn’t do what she’s doing.
And frankly, you don’t understand TV if you think she’s really crying “all the time”.
Thank you so much for the pics of the team dance…went through a time change here in Europe and forgot so missed first hour of show. Question about scoring: Why did Len acknowledge that Brandy made a mistake but said no matter then proceeded to give her a 10; however, Derek/Jenn danced a perfect dance with no mistakes; yet, Len gave them a 9? What gives? My opinion is that the judge (or judges) either don’t want Jennifer to win, there’s a double standard when it comes to judging Jennifer, or they favor Brandy for the win, or they want to keep the scores tight. Last, I completely understand Jenn’s health problems, and I admire her for sticking with it, but I cringed a little every time she cried, complained, or talked about her age…Derek looked somewhat annoyed that she wanted to take 20 min. away from the group rehearsal. I truly believe that if Jenn loses this competition, it won’t be because of her dancing but because of her complaining…unfortunately, people are simply fed up with it. I salute Derek for having the patience to put up with all the follibles of the women he’s coached. I want Derek to have his 3rd trophy..he deserves it after creating amazing choreography even though he had to cater to Jenn’s problems.
D & J did rock it this week! Very proud of Jen, worked through all her hurts, ouch. That’s a true winner.
The kiss at the end of the scores was just precious, isn’t she the only star that has kissed Derek on the mouth? Good for you Jen, I know all us fans would of loved to have a piece of that kiss.
