Time for Design a Dance!!!!!!!
Guess what time it is, folks – DESIGN A DANCE time!! And I don’t know about you, but I want Derek to WIN and give us another, Emmy nominated dance. The best way to do that?? READ ON!!
As you might guess, as the administrator of this site, I talk to lots of different people. Some of those people are the fine folks at CherylBurkeFans.net. As most of you ALSO know, various fan groups have, in the past banded together to vote as a team in order to increase their chances of winning. They’re doing it again this year. Well guess what? We here at PureDerekHough and the fans at CherylBurkeFans think that if we team up, we can get an outstanding, Emmy worthy dance from our favorite professional dancers. Let me break it down for you:
We vote for Cheryl in addition to Derek. The Cheryl fans vote for Derek in addition to Cheryl. This means we double the number of votes for Derek and the Cheryl fans get double the votes for their girl. Many other pros already have teams like this working for them; we need all the help we can get.
The Pros:
1 – As I said, we get more votes for Derek, they get more votes for Cheryl, increasing our chances of winning dramatically. There is only one pro who is Derek’s match in popularity, and that is Cheryl. Both are leagues ahead of all the other pros in terms of Twitter followers with approximately 70k followers each.
2 – Cheryl and Derek have already done some fantastic dances together and both are Emmy nominated choreographers. This is their chance to get another nomination, this time together.
3 – Derek and Cheryl have NEVER lost a team dance on DWTS. They were on the same team that produced that amazing Team Gaga dance last season, and they were both responsible for the first winning team dance back in Season 8.
The Cons:
There is only one Con, and that is by publically posting this and following up with Tweets reminding people to vote for Derek and Cheryl, we are giving the competition very fair warning, which means they will vote even harder. But we think the risk is worth it, if it means we get more people voting who may not have otherwise. You guys are seriously going to have to VOTE, if you want Derek to win DaD again.
Strategy:
1. Go to: Design a Dance
2. Bookmark the page in your browser TOOLBAR
3. Vote for Derek and Cheryl
4. Refresh the page (by clicking the bookmark you’ve put in your toolbar or the DaD logo at the top of the ABC.com page)
5. Vote again, and often 
6. If you get an error message, you can:
a. just ignore it and start again
b. quit out of your browser, if it continues to happen, and start again
c. clear your cache or browsing history
7. While you’re on twitter, you can have two screens open, one for tweeting and one for voting. 
NOTE: It’s not making me sign in to vote, but I would advise signing in with an account just to be on the safe side.
As is often the case when voting for Derek and Jennifer, I sometimes get error messages or it won’t let me vote anymore. I just switch browsers and that solves the problem. I use 3 different browsers: Google Chrome, Firefox and/or Internet Explorer – and that is my order of preference.
Voting starts NOW!! It started at 6 pm Pacific time today, so get on it. Voting lasts until the 28th, but do not wait to get in a voting rhythm. Let’s build a lead and HOLD IT!!

I know Cheryl would be awesome, but I want Chelsie and Derek together. Ever since their paso, I think that their chemistry is great.
Pretty sure that most of Chelsie’s fans are voting for Mark. That’s one of the teams I was referring to.

OK. I can vote for Design a Dance and my top 10 dances each time. I have a plan.
Sounds like a good plan. I would love for them to dance together. I’ll devote a little time each day.
I’d love them to dance together.. I’ve already voted 10 times.. I’m gonna keep doing it everyday about 50 times. lol
Just imagine what we could do if we all voted for just an hour a day – and it doesn’t have to be in one sitting, it can be 10 minutes here and there.
Our competition, I warn you, will spend hours every day voting. Like DJ said, the most popular pro doesn’t necessarily win – it’s the pro who has fans who will spend many hours for the next three weeks on it who will win.
This is a perfect plan for me because Cheryl is my favorite female pro, and I miss her dancing with Derek like they did in the early seasons. We know Derek and Cheryl are the most popular pros by far, but that’s not what determines who wins. It’s who’s fanbase votes the most. Don’t underestimate the fans of others. Some are already paired up and are hardcore voters. It’s our chance to see Derek do an amazing dance on a results show when he rarely dances on them anymore, and possibly earn himself an Emmy!!!
I would rather see Derek and Cheryl do a tango or paso instead of the cha-cha, but it will be fun. But Derek if you’re reading this, you can still give us the tango or paso on another results show. We miss you dancing during results in recent seasons! Why did you stop?
I know right DJ, Derek rarely dances anymore.
I think he dances less because he ended up taking his partners very far the last two seasons, so he doesn’t come up with stuff for the results show.
Derek HAS to be the male pro for this dance. I will spend hours voting this coming week to make sure that he is voted in. I would also love to see Cheryl in this dance. I’ve seem them dance together before and it would no doubt be amazing if they were paired together in this dance!!
I’ve never seen Derek and Cheryl dance, but I really loved the Paso that Derek and Chelsie did…it was amazing…think it was an Emmy nomination.
