Seriously. First, here is a paparazzi video that has Derek in it (hood and all) early on and at the 8 minute mark – and the boy does not seem happy. I miss happy jokey Derek, frankly. I’m sure he’s in there somewhere, but he’s gotten too cautious. Poor baby.

Yes, I’m sure that’s Jennifer running with Derek. I was surfing in Google under Cheryl Cole and Derek Hough and wanted to let you know there’s two new good articles about them. First, one article says Cheryl is “devestated” that she has to leave Derek to go to UK for X Factor. The other article states that Derek’s mom calls Cheryl “her daughter.” It says further that Cheryl and D.’s mom have become close. Derek’s mom has even framed pics of Cheryl and Derek and hung them on the wall. This tells us a lot. I thought the Judges’ House phase of X Factor for Cheryl was to be in LA. The article confused me because it says LA then UK. Which is it? STV and MTV have the articles. You can find them on Google.
I don’t think it tells us anything, Karol. I mean, these people print one thing one day, and another thing the next. I don’t believe any of it until I hear it from a more reliable source. I’ll post their pictures, but I’m not going to give any credence to any of the stories. We can’t pick and choose which ones to believe (Unlike some Cheryl fans apparently), all I believe is that they’re together and that’s just from knowing how Derek is, typically. That’s about it.

I miss the old Derek so much. He doesn’t have to act desperate for attention and talk all day with the paps like Mark does. But he can humor them a little and be polite. Polite and gracious is something Derek always was. Now he looks and acts miserable every time I see pics or video of him. I actually don’t enjoy getting them anymore because they make me like Derek less. This is how you look and act when you’re happy and in love? Well, maybe it is when you’re in love with someone embarassed to be seen with you.
God, I wish Nicole Scherzinger was single. That’s when Derek was happy, when he was spending time with her.
Mark seems more vain and obnoxious as his time on DWTS has passed. Desperate is the correct word DJ and Derek was never that. I think we are blowing up a few pictures out of proportion. I have seen plenty of him laughing and being sweet. Looking at all the pics of him at Wisconsin, he seems nothing but energetic and sweet. I prefer he be polite to them. I also do not see how Derek wasn’t gracious. There were other pros who did the same thing as him. He was not rude, he did not say shut up or anything.
I kindof feel sorry for Derek right now. I can totally understand how Cheryl is not in a great place after all she has been through but I hate to see our cheerfull, happy go lucky Derek seem so serious and actually not all that happy. Maybe he is behind the public persona. I hope so for him.
OF COURSE SHE’S CHANGING HIM! Cheryl is a vain prick. Every. single. time. Derek gets into a relationship he ALWAYS changes him. I’m slowing becoming more of a Mark fan because he’s what Derek used to be!

What is this new rumor about Simon telling Cheryl to focus on her career? I wonder if it is true.
Simon has already denied he said anything about Cheryl dumping Derek. Funny how these tabloids print something obviously not verified, let it run for weeks, then print the truth.
Just some spin to distract from the auto-tune controversy that’s hit X-Factor.
But I do feel sorry for Derek. Maybe he’s happy in private but I’d like for him not to have to worry so much every time he steps out in public. That’s just too stressful.
I don’t know, after watching the video, I felt D was standoff-ish, kind of “going through the motions”, maybe a little nervous but nothing like his crazy self…I also miss that.:( I just hope this “relationship” he’s trying to have and hide isn’t changing him. He needs to be true to himself, be himself. Maybe he just didn’t want any questions regarding his personal life and tried to steer clear of the pap…however, we may never know and that’s ok. All we want Derek, is for you to be happy!:)
Yeah, all I want is for him to be happy and successful. I hope BOTH can happen.
I do not blame Derek for being a bit tired of paps right now. I think over time he will get more energized. Mark talks way too much in contrast. But I think he does that because that is the only way he gets attention from the paps. Both Mark and Lacey came off like the same reality stars who are participating this season with their attention seeking.
I have not seen enough to think he is not happy. He was funny and happy at the Creative Arts Emmy. He was happy and excited when he spoke with Kristin of E! where he said he is excited about his partner.
