What a cute interview. Important not to get complacent. They have stiff competition and I hate that people assume they are in the finals already.
i juuust love theese two, nicole seems to be a really nice and sweet person so i wish the best for her, and one thing for sure with theese two paired up we’ll never get bored
and that’s Entertainement at it’s best!! Derek is one of the best dancers and choreographers ever been on the show and he proved that every single season! This season is gonna be different from the others because we know that it will be a huge pressure especially on him , cauz obviously the excepectations for the couple are very high! So i hope that he’ll comes up with the best creativity so they can deliver some memorable routines like he always does! i’ve checked some videos of the other couples, and dam they look really good (Evan and Erin)!! so like DJ said VOTIIING is the only thing that will make them safe!! People we haaave to get our D into the finals!! TEAM HoughZinger all the waaaaaaaaaay!!! 
Really cute interview. They have great chemistry and the dancing already looks very good!! I love hearing Derek talk about how much fun he’s having. That’s always more important to me than him winning. When he’s happy and enjoying every minute with his partner, he’s so fun to watch!
Let’s all remember we have to vote HARD!! There are alot of people who will just assume they are safe because they will most likely dance well and receive high scores. If we get complacent or cocky, they will go home mid-season in a “shocking elimination.” A lot of people are already talking about the finals like it’s a foregone conclusion. I do think they have a great shot at the finals, but not if we don’t do our part. Derek is so right when he reminds us the show is about much more than dancing. In fact, the best dancer almost never wins!!
I think with Nicole as his partner, we have the potential to see some of the best dancing and choreography we’ve ever seen from Derek on the show. Let’s make sure we see it all the way up to Week 10!! Go Team HoughZinger!!!!!!!!!!
They look fantastic! I think they are going to be amazing together! You can tell they have great chemistry. This will definitely be an exciting season! It don’t mean a thing if it ain’t got D-Zing!

WOW!!! I am so excited for this season. They seem to make a great team. Can’t wait to see them. WE definately have to keep on voting. This is great stuff!!
They are so cute together. I am really happy she and D seem to get along so well. I think that comes across on screen and especially in their chemistry while dancing. The whole idea of putting a lot of theatrics in the dances will be fun in that their creativity together should be great. Everytime I hear theatrics I kind of cringe because of Len but I think they will do great. I think we will see some great dances this season by several of the couples. I am ready for showtime!!!

I also think about Len! I bet Derek does too though. I think he knows by now what works with the judges and audience, and he usually does a good job of mixing anything theatrical with actual ballroom, so it still seems like a fairly traditional routine, in my eyes anyways.
Wow–great interview with both of them. They are adorable together. Nicole presents herself really well. I’d heard of her band, but had only seen a few brief clips. She seems like a well spoken and thoughtful person with a nice goofy sense of fun. Good match with our man Derek.
Evan is gonna be hard to beat with his brand new gold medal. But, I do think that Nicole and Derek have a shot at beating him. High expectionations have already been placed on their team. But, I have no doubt he’ll be up to the task.
Another thing that will help this time around is that Nicole, to my knowledge, isn’t fighting against a negative public opinion like Joanna had to do. Derek had to work overtime trying to “warm up” Joanna’s public image. I think he did a great job.
It’s going to be a FUN season! Derek ALWAYS has so much FUN with his partners and brings out the best in them! I’m Glad Nicole touched upon the whole “she’s a pro dancer” thing because obviously ballroom is new to her, but I still think she’ll BE AMAZING and she’s got the confidence!…and DEREK!

Aww. This is GREAT!!!! I am so so SUPER excited!!! They look GREAT dancing together already, and Nicole is GOOFY like Derek. A PERFECT Pair. This makes me HAPPY!!
