The TV version is longer, and is it just me or does Derek sound a bit sick?? Sounds more nasal than usual. Still very hot, and Joanna looks gorgous!!

Joanna’s looking really good! I’m so happy! I’m hoping she’ll go out there and blow everyone away, because like Brooke, I don’t think anyone is expecting much of her, or even thinking of her at this time. And that’s probably better than when someone is expected to do well, but don’t go too far because everyone expects them to be as good as the pros, and of course, they are not.
And as far as the costumes go, I’m sure it will be okay. I think Derek knows how to dress his partners in a way that suits them the most.He even kept Brooke mostly covered up (for a ballroom dancer at least), even though she has an amazing body that she should not be afraid to show off! I think women often think less of the other women stars who wear revealing costumes. It seems to be okay for the pros though…
Derek knows what he’s doing, and I think that Joanna trusts him!
i think as far as dressing is going to be just fine, Joanna is a model and everything is going to look amazing in her, Brooke had some great looks ,i cant not say the same about Lil Kim, taking the argentine tango and Salsa dress apart(maybe the jive) i pretty much didn’t like the rest but Lil kim had her on thing going on(she was never know for the great outfits choices even before dwts), from Joanna i’m really expecting some great looks.
as far as the dances, i don’t know if i want to see the paso(jennie paso is one of my favorite pasos ever, but i didnt like brookes and LIl kim)i’m really looking for the salsa, Brooke salsa was great and Lil kim salsa was amazing(is a shame that lil kim did so many mistakes)but i’m really looking for the v.waltz ,Joanna has the perfect body for this dance and Brookes v.watlz is my favorite ever(lil kim and shannon were really good too).
I look forward to Derek and Joanna performing. I think they will be fantastic together. I actually loved Lil Kim & Derek’s Paso Doble, Brooke’s as well, they were IMHO pretty fantastic and totally underscored.
It really looks like Joanna can dance and I’m very happy about that. I know Derek will bring fantastic choreography!

Thanks for all the Jennie pics! Love it. Also Joanna reminds me more of Brooke than Shannon. Shannon looked stiff in her rehearsal clips while Joanna looks further along already. Joanna needs to stand out in a positive way early as well as put herself up there dance wise because she does not have the luxury of a fan base. Mark D.’s footwork looks sloppy and does not have quite the character of the dance like Gilles but he is more famous than Gilles so already has an advantage over Gilles. Donny has as many “haters” as “fans” so it is not the same as Shawn who everyone adored going into the season. Shawn did not lose fans. Derek just has to avoid dressing Joanna like Edyta. Also, I want Joanna to stay long enough to dance a quickstep, waltz and paso. Derek’s ballroom is fabulous and his pasos are always fantastic.
Yeah, I agree she is closer to Brooke than Shannon. As for Derek’s clothing choices – he always does amazingly good with that. I think he did a fabulous job with all his partners, and I think you can see how his style has really matured in the last few seasons. He raved about Kim’s fashion sense, but I think he has a really, really good eye himself. But, he is an artist, so I guess that’s to be expected. Some of the other pros could take lessons (Mark, I’m lookin’ at you.
).
He really is an artist. He has an eye for what looks good and he does not go crazy with his costumes. He let’s the star sign (looking at you Mark with his more flamboyant choices). I really love his costume choices and Joanna has a terrific body. I loved all of Jennie’s costumes and all of Brooke’s except her salsa outfit. I thought Shannon’s quickstep dress was gorgeous. Lil Kim’s argentine tango, tango, quickstep, salsa were all fabulous. It all flattered her body shape. Derek does that well. He made Lil Kim’s legs look long in the argentine tango and compare that to Shawn’s costume for the same dance. It made her too short and boxy. Brooke’s quickstep dress is another favorite costume of mine and compare that to Edyta’s quickstep dresses.
i saw the video joanna can move yes!! but donny osmond and mark D has really really some great potential, i agree with heidi mark D’s foot work is not brilliant but they still got 3 weeks so there is some time to fix this! And yes this will be the thoughest season!!! I think joanna is one of the sexiest women ever been on the show so this is an advantage for her. Plus, she got Derek , so i hope he’ll make his coreographies based on that (but not too much
) and bring her sweet and soft side becoz that’s what people are goin to look for. I’m really optimistic about her coz she said that the show will show people the real her!! so fingers crossed let’s wait and see!! i know they’re gonna rock!!! 
Shawn and Gilles should not go in the same sentence except that Shawn can do tricks. Gilles transformed into a dancer. Heidiho, you are good! Derek said he has been a bit under the weather.

Joanna does not have years of training in body control like Mark D. has. But Joanna needs to stand out in a good way early because she is not the most famous female celeb. She looks good and one of the better female celebs I have seen so far. Mark D has a great chance to win. He is more famous than Gilles and he seems to be a natural like Gilles.
and MArk D. can do tricks ,he is like a crossover of Gilles and Shawn
As some of you (Phillpe) know, I also work on Pure DWTS – I actually picked Mark D for the final three early on. HOWEVER, I was NOT impressed by what I saw of him on Extra. His upper body looked great, but if the judges (Len) look at his feet, I think he might have trouble. Gilles did have this problem as well, at times, so maybe Mark can over come it.
As for Joanna, I think she looks great – but ALL the women, are going to have to be really, really good to get past Donny and Mark. Mya has an advantage of a lot of previous dance training, and Melissa has the advantage of a fanbase – but neither of them are a shoe in and are going to have to do just as well as Joanna to get past the guys. Them’s my predictions now.
she really can move the hips ,remind me of brooke and derek samba(one my favorite dances from then),but after watching Mard D. and Lacey on Axtra an ET,Joana have to be way better than this if she want to win
Yeah, in terms of movement, I think Joanna is closer to Brooke than she is to Shannon, for sure. And that’s a great thing.
Okay I’m sorry but Joanna and Derek really wouldn’t make a really good couple!
Not saying I agree or disagree, but what do you base this on? I think they look gorgeous together. Heck, people said the same about Shannon – and Joanna actually has a LOT in common with Shannon.
All that said, I think Derek and Joanna actually look too much alike – really, she could be his sister. But they are beautiful together.
I hope interviewers don’t make Derek talk about finding romance on DWTS and show Shannon break-up flashbacks all season. The focus should be on he and Joanna and their dancing. I really,really hope Joanna can bring it. The competition has never been stiffer.
