I actually think that she will not have a strong enough fan base to keep them in it against some of the others. Let’s face it….Kim was a better dancer than a lot of the finalist…but she didn’t have the fan base. Not many people know who Joanna is, and when she is up against dancers with a fan base their votes will keep them in no matter how well she and Derek dance. I actually think they don’t have enough of a contrast to be a striking couple.
Well, Brooke Burke had no fanbase. I’m not going to count Derek and Joanna out at all – but if we’re being completely honest, Donny Osmond is the most likely person to win. Huge fanbase. And I’ve read that he’s been training in ballroom for a year. No clue if that is true. But even without that, I would put money on it right now. And this is the reason I didn’t want him on the show.
Our job is to keep Derek and Joanna around as long as possible – I’m willing to do what I have to do to make that happen. And I’ve got a few ideas along those lines. If Joanna is a great dancer, it’s not out of the question. But we’ll have to work at it.
Yeah I know she was a b**** on Superstars but I’m not going to hold that against her…she seems like she really wants to do well so hopefully she can dance cause they do make a good looking couple!! She seems to like Derek from her tweets so we’ll just have to see how it goes! Although, who wouldn’t like Derek?!
Really, liking Derek and having chemistry with him is half the battle.
If people are familiar with her from Superstars they may keep her around just for the fireworks. But I’m going to give her the benefit of the doubt. Her big problem on Superstars seemed to be that T.O. wasn’t trying, wasn’t competing. NO ONE can ever say that about Derek. Even when he was so over dancing by the end of last season, he gave it his all.
And I’m going to put this out there right now too – If derek and Joanna get eliminated, I expect all of you to bust your butts getting Derek Design a Dance.
Oh, man! No offense, but she was the LAST person I wanted him with! (Okay, I guess that’s pretty offensive.) But she’s was so rude on Superstars! I hope she shapes up for Dancing! Unfortunately, that might cost them a lot of votes. He’s supposed to win this season. (Let’s keep the Ballas-Hough domination going!) But I’ll vote as long as she doesn’t act up.
Joanna is gorgeous. I sure hope she can dance. Derek and Joanna, cute dancing couple.
Wow what a great looking couple they make. If they dance together half as good as they look together it will be amazing to watch! Seeing them side by side I can understand why they were paired together. Great looking pair:)
i’m hoping that she will surprise me like Lil KIm did ,i didn’t like Lil KIm before dwts but she prove me wrong and i love her now
They are cute and did you all notice her ring!-Wow! I’m glad they finally announced it. I sure hope she can dance because they look beautiful together!

they look a lot like each other, the same hair, skin, eye collor and She is hot but can she dance? who knows. i fell like she will be more like Shannon( who head is about to explode) then Brooke.
I hope she’s more graceful like Brooke with the sex appeal of Lil Kim!-LOL Anyway, you all know what I mean. He does look happy with her. I think Derek is such a sweetheart to always photograph everything for his fans.
